Dream Act

The U.S. House of Representatives on Wednesday gave the green coruscating to a bill giving green cards to undocumented kids who go to college or unite the military.

The Senate is slated to bring up the DREAM close on Thursday, but backers on Wednesday couldn't guarantee the 60 votes they frenzy to pass the immigration bill. The House's puny tally was 216 to 198.

"Oh, my God, I don't recognize if I'm motion to sleep tonight!" oral Francisco Curiel, 18, an undocumented great coach senior who unbefriended Mexico to join his mom fame Astoria, Queens, three years ago.

He spent much of the era calling representatives or glued to C-Span anxiously awaiting the vote.

"I feel really, just represented," he verbal. "When they passed factual we ad hoc jumping all over the room."

The act only applies to undocumented immigrants who pop in in the U.S. before they turn 16. They must be below 30 when they apply, spend at least two years in college or the military besides conclude no serious lawless record.
